The exhibition "Nikolaos Ventouras: A lifetime of innovation" opens at the Benaki Museum, with the SNF’s support

The Benaki Museum presents the retrospective exhibition of the Greek engraver and artist Nikolaos Ventouras, one of the greatest engravers of the 20th century, with his work extending over half a century, both in Greece and internationally.

The exhibition, which is made possible through a grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, opens to the public on Thursday, December 14th, 2017, and runs through Sunday, February 25th, 2018.

The exhibition features over 350 original art pieces, drawings and notes of the artist, which are made public for the first time, as well as a tribute book by the curator of the British Museum, Martin Royalton-Kisch, featuring an extensive account of N. Ventouras’ work. The exhibition is complemented by educational programs and guided tours.

The exhibition was officially inaugurated on Wednesday, December 13th, 2017.
