Vamvakou is a typical Greek village, with a main square, a church, and traditional houses - at least at first glance. But how many villages in Greece do you know of that host music ensembles and artists who paint street art on their walls?
See for yourself as Apostolis and Irini, two of the five musicians that make up Oros Ensemble, born out of the Vamvakou Artist Residency Program, and visual artist Cacao Rοcks discuss living and creating in an isolated mountain village at an altitude of 900 meters.
Even during a national lockdown, the cozy mountain village is spreading seasonal cheer around Greece and around the world, livestreaming the moment festive lights illuminate the town square.
Join the festivities online on Tuesday, December 8, at 18.00 (EET) at vamvakourevival.org
The art and music were created as part of the Vamvakou Revival initiative supported by SNF.
