Lincoln Center also announced today its first-ever poet-in-residence, Mahogany L. Browne, who has curated a schedule of events that includes readings from children’s books with a focus on justice, film screenings, a racial justice writing workshop, and a jazz-poetry performance.
Restart Stages aims to transform Lincoln Center’s campus into a hub of arts access and civic engagement, with ten new outdoor venues hosting music and dance performances, film screenings, cultural events, a reading room, and public services like food bank distributions. It is made possible through the Stavros Niarchos Foundation-Lincoln Center (SNF-LC) Agora Initiative, a collaboration to reactivate and reimagine public space in a new era for which SNF provided support as part of its $100 million global COVID-19 relief initiative.
