Hellenic Children's Museum

Program support

For implementation of the program, “The Children’s Museum at the Hospital.” The program’s main concept is to create a museum-like environment at the Children´s Hospital "Agia Sophia."

The program will consist of two separate components: the “Museum’s Workshop,” in which museum kits will be distributed to children, and ten educational programs conducted by the museum’s scientific personnel. The proposed project will involve children in the design stage and will take their interests under consideration.
The Hellenic Children’s Museum was founded in 1987 in Athens by a group of young scientists. It is designed to help children develop their potential to become socially aware citizens. The museum organizes a variety of educational, interdisciplinary programs for both children and adults.  The programs’ main goals are to familiarize children with art, the museum, and the cultural and technological heritage of Greece.
