This grant supports a paleoanthropological and Paleolithic survey of the Aliakmon river in Central Greece, which has yielded rare stone tools that date from the Lower Paleolithic era; the research team’s work to document and date the presence of humans in this important region will contribute to a greater knowledge among the general public about this important aspect of Greek heritage.
