Future Library

The grant supported the funding of the organization's Implementation Plan, which includes the continuation of a set of actions (a nationwide training program, a children’s summer campaign, the training of 16 leaders and the renovation of a few selected libraries in order to develop a children services space), as well as some additional proposed actions covering the creation of two library demonstrators and the introduction of electronic newspapers and e-books to a number of libraries. Future Library was established in 2011, by initiative and with the support of the SNF, with a mission to record the current state of public and municipal libraries in Greece and propose specific actions to upgrade their services and position within the community.
