This grant supports the salary of a five-year visiting faculty appointment to Brown's Modern Greek Studies Program, which aims to present modern Greece in the context of European history and culture, to integrate study of Greek culture into a range of subject areas, and to make Greek studies accessible to students from diverse backgrounds and with a variety of interests.
