At Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, support has gone toward a small library and a state-of-the-art computer lab. Other projects outside the university have focused on education; health needs and clothing; and bringing clean, running water to remote areas.
These projects, and the Foundation’s involvement, have been coordinated by Phra Saneh Dhammavaro, who has dedicated his life to helping the poorest of the poor in different parts of Southeast Asia.
Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University was established in 1887 to provide higher education to Buddhist monks, novices and laypeople. It is a public university and serves as a center for the study of the humanities. MCU maintains 10 campuses, including the one in Chiang Mai, and a number of affiliated institutes. MCU Chiang Mai enables young people from different parts of Asia who cannot afford tuition rates at other universities to obtain a quality education.
