26 MAY 2017 / Lecture entitled “Missing Children in Greece and Europe, actions and initiatives for the prevention and treatment of the phenomenon”

On the occasion of the International Missing Children's Day, on Thursday, May 25th, the organization “Smile of the Child” held a lecture at the Zappeion Hall, entitled Missing Children in Greece and Europe, actions and initiatives for the prevention and treatment of the phenomenon”, as part of its program SAFE (Sustainable Alliance for Missing Children in Greece).

The event took place in the presence of institutional and volunteering organizations who cooperate with the “Smile of the Child” in the field of the treatment and prevention of phenomenon of missing children, as well as supporters of the organization’s action against child missing cases, including the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).

Through a grant, the SNF has supported the operation of the European Hotline for Missing Children in Greece.

The organization “Smile of the Child” was established in 1996, aiming at providing support to children in need throughout Greece. The organization offers a wide range of services, including helplines, a missing children network, day care centers, Help Distribution Centers and hostels for abused children.
