For cataloging Greek materials in the Institute’s library. The Institute´s Library contains one of the largest collections of books, journals and monographs in Orthodox Christian studies on the West coast. The project allows staff, students, researchers and scholars to access these works.
The Patriarch Athenagoras Orthodox Institute, formerly the Institute for Hellenism and Orthodoxy, was founded in 1981 by the Graduate Theological Union, a consortium of nine independent theological schools and nine affiliated centers located adjacent to the campus of the University of California at Berkeley.
