Program support

The grant supports the National Center for the Collection, Analysis, and Dissemination of Satelite Data through the employment of researchers and the upgrading of its infrastructure.

The National Observatory of Athens was founded in 1842 and is the oldest research institution in Greece and the greater Southeast Europe area. It currently operates five research Institutes, in two sites: the Institutes for Geodynamics, Astronomy & Astrophysics, Environmental Research & Sustainable Development, Space Applications & Remote Sensing, as well as the Institute for Astropartical Physics.
