Medical School, Medical Physics Laboratory - Equipment
For the purchase of an electromagnetic spectrum detector and a frequency generator. The equipment will be used to teach the subject of Medical Physics to undergraduate students of the Medical and Dental Schools, and leads to a qualification in and a license to practice Radiation Physics.  

The Medical Physics Laboratory of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is the first medical physics laboratory created in a Greek university, in 1964. Its main educational focus is teaching the principles of physics and its applications in medicine. It is addressed to first-year students of the Medical and Dental Schools, through the compulsory subject of Medical Physics. The laboratory also teaches the elective “Introduction to Biomedical Technology”, which covers applied knowledge and the presentation of high tech equipment in clinical specialties.
