Agricultural Engineering Department

The grant supports equipment procurement for production of sustainable plastic films for crop protection, food packaging, and drip irrigation systems using environmentally friendly, biodegradable raw materials. In addition, the grant will support research contributing to the transition from an economy based on conventional materials to one based on more innovative ones, such as the replacement of oil products with bio-derived ones. The Agricultural University of Athens is the third oldest university in Greece. It has 41 fully equipped laboratories and has been making consistent, valuable contributions to Greek and European agricultural and economic development through academic and applied research in agricultural science.
