Action Finance Initiative - Program support
The grant supports the partial funding of a one-year pilot program for the introduction of microfinance in Greece. It covers operating expenses, as well as training, capacity building and business development services. Given the urgency of the socioeconomic crisis in Greece, Adie, a microfinance leader in Europe, and ActionAid Hellas have joined forces in order to develop microfinance in Greece for the first time, through the operation of the not-for-profit microfinance provider Action Finance Initiative Hellas.

ActionAid is an international organization, aiming to combat poverty around the world, and to educate people about their fundamental human rights. Adie, has a network of 120 offices and 256 contact points throughout France, employing 450 staff and 1,200 volunteers.
