National Maritime Museum

This grant supports the creation of the Atlantic Collections gallery, which examines the relationships between Britain, Africa, and the Americas in the context of the colonization of the Americas, coinciding with the bicentenary of the abolition of the British slave trade and aiming to open the National Maritime Museum’s rich collections to new audiences of contemporary visitors as part of the new permanent Maritime Worlds exhibition.
