Data shows Special Olympics Unified Schools transforming attitudes around inclusion

According to new survey results from China, Greece, India, and Kenya, 94% of schools with Special Olympics Unified Schools programming say it has helped significantly reduce bullying, teasing and offensive language in their communities.

See what else the surveys revealed about the impact of Unified Schools programming for students with and without intellectual disabilities.

A recent grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) supports a global push by Special Olympics to expand unified programming to schools in 22 countries and amplify the voices of those calling for action on the urgent issue of inclusion. This new effort builds on a decades-long partnership between SNF and Special Olympics, most recently including a three-year collaboration on the Play Unified: Learn Unified school-based inclusion platform.
