What Comes Next for Cities? Early-Career Journalists Investigate at CSIS

Sep 07, 2021
Student-journalists from Monmouth University explored what’s next for cityscapes transformed by the pandemic through the latest virtual Journalism Bootcamp at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

Peruse the long-from multimedia reporting project they developed, Covid-19 Transformed Urban Spaces. As Mobility Returns, What Comes Next?

This feature was produced in collaboration with CSIS’s Dracopoulos iDeas Lab, created in 2011 with support from SNF Co-President Andreas Dracopoulos, as the capstone of an intensive week of seminars and workshops led by CSIS experts. The practicum incorporated both journalistic skill-building and deep topical dives into current issues related to the impact of the pandemic on urban mobility.

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) supports the CSIS Journalism Bootcamp: Reporting on International Affairs, which has welcomed cohorts from universities around the United States and Greece.
