Young Greek Artists Selected for Fourth SNF ARTWORKS Fellowship

Jul 28, 2021
It’s what all emerging artists hope for: a stretch of time to dedicate themselves, without constraint, to their artistic practice.

The SNF Artist Fellowship Program from ARTWORKS is offering another 80 young Greek artists this opportunity starting in September 2021.

This third cycle of the fellowship program, which will run through May 2022, awards each participant €8,000. In addition, each of the SNF ARTWORKS Fellows will take part in studio visits, seminars, lectures, and workshops to broaden their professional exposure and hone their craft.

Five of the Fellows are curators, and the other 75 practice the disciplines of visuals arts, moving image, and dance. This year, as every year, fellows were selected by evaluation committees including established Greek arts professionals.

ARTWORKS was created in 2017 with a founding grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) to encourage early-career Greek artists with an opportunity for personal and professional development. The SNF Artist Fellowship Program, which counts 310 alumni, is one of the core activities of ARTWORKS.
