07 January 2021

Having overcome immense scientific hurdles to develop safe and effective vaccines in record time, we are now faced with another daunting challenge. How do we distribute them ethically and in such a way as to end the pandemic as expeditiously as possible?

A series of free virtual discussions from the New York Stem Cell Foundation (NYSCF) Research Institute explores these questions with experts in the field.

On Thursday, January 7, “How Do We Ethically Distribute COVID-19 Vaccines?” will be the topic of discussion for a panel including Jeffrey Kahn, Andreas C. Dracopoulos Director of Johns Hopkins University’s Berman Institute for Bioethics, a long-term Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) partner.

On Thursday, January 14, Pulitzer Prize winner Siddhartha Mukherjee and MacArthur Fellow Wafaa El-Sadr will join a conversation on “How Do We End the Pandemic?

Video of the first event in the series, a chat with Moderna founder Derrick Rossi about the science behind COVID-19 vaccines, is available to view online.

NYSCF’s public education and outreach programming is supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
