A Festival for Young Cinephiles
21 OCTOBER 2020

Plants take their revenge on bullies. Girls learn how to skate in the midst of war in Afghanistan. A soccer team travels from a shantytown in South Africa to the World Youth Cup in Sweden.

There’s something for everyone in the more than 30 short and feature-length films that will be shown at the Athens International Children’s Film Festival.

This year, the festival will take place online from November 14 to 22, reaching children two and up in Greece and Cyprus. Portions of the festival will be made accessible to viewers with disabilities through Easy2Read Language. The festival’s program also includes screenings in schools, including special education schools, as well as film workshops for kindergarten, elementary, and high school students.

The festival is supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) and the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and is organized in collaboration with the nonprofit Kallisti.
