Celebrating Women’s Suffrage at the SNF Agora Institute
16 September 2020

Marking the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment, an important milestone in women’s voting rights in the U.S., the Stravros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University will explore how women have shaped our democracy with a three-day event from September 17 to 19.

Remember, Reflect, Recommit: Celebrating Women’s Suffrage, free and open to the public with advance registration, begins with a look at how women continue to lead the fight for civil rights and closes with interactive workshops to equip participants for further action.

A new academic year of public events at the SNF Agora Institute kicked off on September 12 with a “Facts or Fakes” training and will continue on September 26 with another training, on “Presidential Debates Past and Present.”

The SNF Agora Institute, created in 2018 through a $150 million grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), brings together experts from political science, psychology, philosophy, and other disciplines to foster open and inclusive discourse.
