On Thursday, July 30, the Special Advisory Committee for the SNF Heath Initiative convened for the twentieth Assembly between representatives of the Greek state, Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) staff, and other stakeholders.
The Health Initiative, whose budget is expected to exceed $400 million, comprises a range of ambitious projects seeking to strengthen Greek health infrastructure and improve care around the country.
The monthly Assembly meetings aim to ensure effective partnership and cooperation among the many parties involved, providing a forum to exchange updates and ideas and forestall any potential issues. The Committee consists of representatives of the Greek state, including from the Prime Minister’s Office; the Ministry of Health; the Ministry of Education, Research, and Religious Affairs; the Ministry of Finance; the Ministry of Environment and Energy; and the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport, and Networks. Also taking part are representatives from the National Center for Emergency Care; the University of Athens Faculty of Nursing; Evangelismos General Hospital; Hill International, which has undertaken the management of the infrastructure projects; and SNF.
A Special Advisory Committee including representatives from the Greek state and SNF that was convened during the development of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) helped foster effective collaboration between all parties involved until the SNFCC was delivered to the people of Greece.
