Parliamentarians for a Day
26 February 2020

One hundred young people, ages 22 to 30, will become Members of Parliament for a day as part of the Young Citizens and the Constitution educational program implemented by the Center for European Constitutional Law with support from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).

The March 7, 2020 event will be preceded by workshops on March 5 and 6 in which half of the participants each day gain familiarity with the tools of parliamentary debate and the legislative procedures. During the simulation, the young citizens will interact directly with Members of the Hellenic Parliament and will experience parliamentary procedures in real time.

The purpose of the simulation is for participants to get to know how Parliament is organized and operates through creative role-play. Participants will learn about the types of responsibilities given to Parliament and will recreate components of the work of the Parliament Committees and the parliamentary sessions.

Participation is free of charge. For more information and to apply, please visit
