A Student Workshop for Women in Science from the SNFCC and the Perimeter Institute
10 February 2020

On February 11, 2020, International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) and the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics are hosting a student workshop for 150 high school students with celebrated women working in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The students will have the opportunity to meet esteemed professionals from a variety of disciplines, to seek advice as they plan for their future, to get to know “the woman behind the scientist,” and to be inspired by their personal stories.
The event, held at the SNFCC in Athens, includes keynote speeches, a panel discussion, and speed mentoring of participants by dozen mentors. One of the keynote speeches will be delivered by Asimina Arvanitaki, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Aristarchus Chair in Theoretical Physics at the Perimeter Institute in Canada.
