New journalistic Projects Emerge from the iMEdD Incubator

Over the past nine months, 19 creators have been hatching innovative journalistic projects at the iMEdD incubator, leveraging the organization’s expertise, strategic guidance, and tools.

These exciting projects were presented to the world at iMEdD headquarters, on Monday, December 16. Attendees had the opportunity to become acquainted with the 7 projects that were developed in the first cycle of the iMEdD incubator. The projects encompass a wide range of areas of interest and activities including documentaries, digital platforms, journalistic research, photography, and more.

Incubator, one of the primary pillars of iMEdD’s work, hosts existing organizations as well as groups or individuals with a plan for creating a new journalistic organization or implementing an innovative project in the field. iMEdD provides participants with the know-how and tools needed to bring their ideas come to life. Organizations selected for the program are hosted at iMEdD for 9 months and projects for 3 to 6 months. The application process for the second round has already been completed, with ten ambitious projects in their initial stage of preparation.

The incubator for Media Education and Development, iMEdD, is a nonprofit organization founded in 2018 with the exclusive support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). Its mission is to support and promote transparency, credibility, independence, and excellence in journalism.
