Young Greek Artists Join International Residencies through ARTWORKS
26 November 2019

What early-career Greek artist wouldn’t want to live in the major art metropoles of New York and London for at least a short while?

To work in a different environment with a new daily routine, visit artists' workshops, meet colleagues, curators, and thinker from around the world—to be inspired and evolve in their work.
Greek organization ARTWORKS is offering this exceptional opportunity to three young Greek artists, in partnership with artists’ residency programs organized by two internationally renowned organizations, the International Studio & Curatorial Program in New York and the Delfina Foundation in London.
These artist residency programs are part of the ARTWORKS Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Support Program for Artists, whose primary mission is providing financial support to Greek artists, including visual artists, filmmakers, dancers, and choreographers, as well as exhibition curators. ARTWORKS, which was established in 2017 through a founding grant by SNF, also organizes seminars, workshops, lectures and meetings with established cultural professionals in Greece and abroad. The aim is to offer professional development opportunities to awardees and to facilitate the exchange of ideas, know-how, and experience. To date, ARTWORKS has supported a total of 140 artists.
