Vimagazino Features a Tribute to the “Triple” Project of the SNFCC

Nov 25, 2019
In its latest issue, the weekly magazine Vimagazino featured an extensive tribute to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) and to its three resident organizations: the Greek National Opera (GNO), the National Library of Greece (NLG) and SNFCC S.A.

The tribute included interviews with George Koumentakis, artistic director of the GNO, Filippos Tsimpoglou, Director General of the NLG, and Nikos Manolopoulos, Managing Director of SNFCC S.A., who all talked about the new era that the new facilities marked for each of the organizations—particularly for the GNO and the NLG—the vision, the future plans, as well as the “co-existence” and cooperation between the organizations.

The tribute also included a quote from the SNF Co-President Andreas Dracopoulos, who stated: “The notion of a public-private partnership has been discussed across the globe, but the SNFCC provides one of the few but very successful such endeavors. What kept everyone going forward in the best possible way was a common vision, that of providing a state-of-the-art cultural center to the people, and truly for the people, while redefining the concept of public space.”
