The Fortune Society, which Provides Alternatives to Incarceration, Holds Gala
30 October 2019

The Fortune Society held its annual gala on Tuesday, October 29 in New York City. The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) provided support and SNF staff attended the event.

The Fortune Society, founded in 1967, works to support people in reentering society after incarceration, to offer alternatives to incarceration, and to advocate for reform. A 2015 grant from SNF supported vocational training programs for those looking to enter the transportation industry in New York City, and a 2019 grant from SNF supports Fortune’s alternatives to incarceration work.
