The Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki will inaugurate a new wing on Sunday, October 27, 2019 in a ceremony attended by His Excellency the President of the Hellenic Republic.
With the completion of this expansion, the Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki adds four new fully accessible galleries for visitors to discover. The new wing was co-funded through a grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
SNF has also announced its intention to support the creation of a new Holocaust museum in Thessaloniki. Now in its early stages, the project is a collaboration between the Greek and German governments, the Jewish Community of Thessaloniki, and the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
