The month begins with a great retrospective exhibition by Yiannis Psychopedis titled Poetics: Painting meets poetry, which presents the artist’s paintings that reference poetry.
October also marks the beginning of this season of Parabases, a Reader’s Theater series at the SNFCC, which noted director Dimitris Karantzas takes over for the new season. The October program’s music offerings invite the public to discover different genres and artists, such as the pioneering jazz band Sun Ra Arkestra, the iconic Sir Simon Rattle, and world-renowned mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kožená.
Finally, in honor of October’s World Animal Day, this month’s SNF DIALOGUES open a conversation on heartbreaking patterns of animal abuse in Greece. On Wednesday, October 30, we will discuss treatment and mistreatment of animals as well as the impact of social media on the issue.
Free events at SNFCC are organized with the exclusive support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
