June: The Month of the Summer Nostos Festival at the SNFCC
01 June 2019

It’s June and nostalgia for last year’s Summer Nostos Festival has transformed into excitement for this year’s event, hosted by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). In 22 days, this beloved institution of Greek summer returns to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), an open public space created and lovingly supported by the SNF.

Between the 23rd and the 30th of June, the SNFCC welcomes everyone with more than 700 artists, concerts, visual arts and dance events, activities for families and children, the 8th Annual SNF Conference and the evening race SNF RUN: Running into the Future, and much more. Take out your smartphones, or pen and paper (for those who are more traditional) and take down some of the names that you can’t miss:

Andrew Bird, Neneh Cherry, Low, Local Natives, Brian Eno with the visual installation 77 Million Paintings, Akram Khan Company, Balthazar, Lisa Hannigan & s t a r g a z e, Rita Wilson, Soap&Skin, Nakhane, Alkistis Protopsalti, Giorgos Margaritis, and Antonis Martsakis & Antonis Foniadakis.

Until it’s time for the Summer Nostos Festival, the SNFCC awaits you with exhibitions, concerts, speeches, performances, workshops, and sporting events.
