Progetto Quid Presents Plans for Increasing Social Impact through Fashion Jobs
27 May 2019

Cooperativa Sociale Quid, also known as Progetto Quid, is a nonprofit cooperative in Verona, Italy that helps address unemployment and exclusion among underserved women and vulnerable groups by creating opportunities for employment in the fashion industry.

On Friday, May 24, Progetto Quid presented its plans for the 2019-2021 IMPACTA framework program. A substantial portion of this program focusing on skills development for beneficiaries, “New Ways,” is supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). SNF representatives attended the event, and Program Officer Charis Desinioti made brief remarks.
“Fashion is, by definition, transitory and impermanent; it constantly changes,” she said. “But in the capable hands of this organization, it has been put into the service of timeless values, offering opportunities for vulnerable groups to advance, empowering women, reducing waste.”
The event was attended by partner Foundations, including Cariverona Foundation and Fondazione San Zeno, alongside a number of partners from the private sector, including Mattel and representatives of Marzotto Wool Manufacturing.
