The Scholarship Program at the University of Athens includes four-year doctoral research scholarships for 20 students in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, and pharmaceutics. The Scholarship Program is part of SNF’s Recharging the Youth Initiative, which aims to address Greece’s high unemployment rate among young people and combat the phenomenon of brain drain. SNF’s Recharging the Youth Initiative also includes support for universities and research centers, such as the Scholarship Programs at the University of Thessaly and the Technical University of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, as well as at the National Center for Scientific Research for the provision of scholarships for industrial doctorate degrees and post-doc positions.
