A journey to five continents and 25 cities with tours of the most important architectural works of the Renzo Piano Building Workshop will start in early June and continue for five weeks for National Technical University of Athens Architecture graduate Eirinaios-Stylianos Palapanis.
Palapanis is one of the six winners of the Renzo Piano World Tour Award 2019, supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
The journey will begin in Paris and will continue from there with dozens of stops, including Athens and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), and Entebbe, Uganda, where the group of winners will visit the construction site of a center of excellence in pediatric surgery, which is being built with support from SNF. The last stop on Renzo Piano's world tour will be Genoa and one of the Renzo Piano Building Workshop offices.
The Renzo Piano World Tour Award 2019 is held by the Renzo Piano Foundation and the Greek participation is being supported for the second time by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
