The CSIS Schieffer Series presents “The Kremlin Playbook 2: The Enablers”
07 March 2019

On Monday, March 11th, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C., will hold the latest installment of its Schieffer Series: The Kremlin Playbook 2: The Enablers.

Hosted by renowned journalist Bob Schieffer, the series features panel discussions on timely topics of global relevance with policy experts, journalists, public officials, and lawmakers.

This installment follows on a 2016 report by CSIS expert Heather A. Conley, The Kremlin Playbook, looking at Russian influence in five countries in Central and Eastern Europe. The Kremlin Playbook 2: The Enablers offers six case studies in how countries can play into economic and financial malfeasance by Russia. Schieffer and Conley, who is CSIS Senior Vice President for Europe, Asia and the Arctic and Director of the Europe program, will be joined by, among others, Juan C. Zarate, CSIS Senior Advisor on Transnational Threats and the Human Rights Initiative.

The event will take place from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the CSIS headquarters and will be livestreamed. A reception will precede the event at 5:00.

The Schieffer Series, supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), is organized through a collaboration between CSIS and Texas Christian University’s Bob Schieffer College of Communication. It has shed light on current events for over a decade.
