On March 7th, applications open for young Greek nephrologists looking to pursue a fellowship through the European Renal Association – European Dialysis and Transplant Association (ERA-EDTA).
The application will remain open through April 9th.
The Fellowships for Young Greek Nephrologists offers early-career professionals the opportunity to train at European Union nephrology centers with support from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
ERA-EDTA brings together physicians from Europe and around the Mediterranean to advance knowledge and clinical practice around kidney-related conditions.
SNF supports the training of medical professionals, especially those early in their careers or taking advantage of new technology, to promote excellence in care. The HSS-Stavros Niarchos Foundation Orthopaedic Seminar Program, for instance, has brought dozens of Greek surgeons to New York to learn from the experts at the Hospital for Special Surgery. As part of a significant SNF initiative to install state-of-the-art radiotherapy equipment in seven public hospitals around Greece, the staff who will use the new technology will travel to the University of Texas, San Antonio for training.
