Carnival, Clean Monday, and More: March at the SNFCC
01 March 2019

Even with cold and rainy weather in Athens, spring is in the air as we enter March. We look forward to seeing all of you at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) to enjoy the smell of spring together, wear our Carnival costumes, and celebrate Sarakosti (the 40 days of Lent).

On the last Sunday of the Carnival season, the explosive brass band Marsh Dondurma, the DJ collective Bomba Energia Soundsystem, and the percussion group Bloco Swingueira will get everyone up and dancing, while on Clean Monday, Koulouma will be celebrated traditionally at the SNFCC, with Lambros Liavas and the band TAKIM as hosts. At the same time, as it does every month, the SNFCC will host dozens of events for people of all ages, including celebrations, exhibitions, lectures, concerts, performances, and workshops.

This March, you can attend all the events at the SNFCC free of charge, thanks to the exclusive support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
