Chiara Fumai’s first North American Solo Exhibit to Open at ISCP

On February 12th, an exhibition of the work of Chiara Fumai, LESS LIGHT, will open at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP).

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) has provided operating support to ISCP.

This is the first solo exhibition in North America of the work of Fumai, whose work, expansive in scope, often took aim at modes of thinking that stand in the way of greater empowerment for women. It includes her 2015 work The Book of Evil Spirits and her 2012-13 work Dogaressa Elisabetta Querini, Zalumna Agra, Annie Jones, Dope Head, Harry Houdini, Eusapia Palladino read Valerie Solanas. The exhibit will open with a performance of her 2014 The S.C.U.M. Elite.

Since 1994, ISCP has worked to support emerging and mid-career artists while introducing them to Brooklyn and broader New York audiences.
