The Institute of Imagination in London (iOi) has announced the opening of the application for its 2019 Cultural Residency, supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
The resident selected will develop an activity in which a range of audiences can participate, as part of a broader concept of work related to iOi’s current theme of empathy. While the engaging activities will have a performing arts focus, the concept developed will also make a lasting contribution to iOi, including a digital component. Application for four-month residency is open to any individual or group working in any discipline. The application will remain live until 5:00 p.m. London time on February 21st, 2019, and the applicant selected will be notified by March 22nd.
The Institute of Imagination, started in 2005 as the London Children’s Museum, seeks to offer children hands-on opportunities for self-directed exploration, experimentation, creativity, and problem solving.
