ADL is a unique smart city research and development laboratory, supporting innovative solutions that aim to improve the quality of life of Athens’ residents and visitors. ADL was created in October 2017, with an exclusive grant by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), by Athens Partnership with the cooperation of COSMOTE and Nokia
Following the success of its first round and its first year of operations, ADL is once again seeking original digital ideas, which leverage technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) opportunities, and invites individuals, groups, startups and technology enthusiasts to submit their proposals. Proposals are requested to cover the following themes: Tourism, Resilience & Crisis Management, Cleaning, Mobility Data, Schools Infrastructure, Open Theme.
Following the evaluation of the submitted proposals, up to 10 teams will be selected to join ADL. They will be able to work for at least six months in a modern and fully equipped workplace, at the Serafio Complex of the City of Athens.
In addition, on Tuesday December 4th, at the ADL’s premises, the four teams from the first round will present the results of their unique pilot applications, which are already running in Athens. ADL teams, Inagros, Recytrust, Smart City Spaces and Thing of Me, will share their experience as members and partners of this unique innovative venture, and the importance of being an integral part of Athens’ digital transformation.
Applications are open until December 17th, 2018. For additional information about ADL and the application process see here.
