2nd Regular Special Advisory Committee Assembly for the SNF’s Heath Initiative
26 October 2018

On Thursday, October 25th, 2018, the 2nd Special Advisory Committee Assembly for the SNF’s Heath Initiative between the Greek State and Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) took place. The Health Initiative is structured around seven new projects, aiming to further enhance the Greek Health sector, with a budget expected to exceed €250 million.

The 1st meeting of the Special Advisory Committee was held on September 27th, following the release of the second update on the initiative's progress that the SNF issues on a quarterly basis, for the timely and comprehensive information of all citizens.

The Assembly consists of representatives from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Environment and Energy, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks, the National Center for Emergency Care (EKAV), the University of Athens’ Faculty of Nursing, Hill International, which has undertaken the management of the infrastructure projects, and the SNF. The monthly Assembly meetings promote the effective partnership and cooperation between all parties involved, by giving participants the opportunity to be informed about the development of the overall project, to manage issues that may arise during the progression of the project in a timely manner, and to exchange updates, ideas and suggestions.

It is noted that a Special Advisory Committee of the Greek State and the SNF was also established during the development of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC). The Committee convened regularly until the SNFCC’s delivery to the Greek State to ensure the effective collaboration of all parties involved.
