20 JULY 2018 / The SNF Supports the Center for an Urban Future’s Policy Symposium on Revitalizing NYC’s Aging Infrastructure

Following the recent publication of its report on New York City parks, titled “A New Leaf: Revitalizing New York City’s Aging Parks Infrastructure”, on Tuesday, July 31st, 2018, the Center for an Urban Future holds a policy symposium.

The event aims to explore what can and should be done to upgrade and maintain the city’s current parks infrastructure over the next decade and beyond.

The symposium is supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, which also supported the implementation of the Center for an Urban Future’s report, which is the culmination of a year of reporting and analysis on the current state of the city’s parks system. During the event, the SNF’s Director of Programs & Strategic Initiatives, Ms. Stelios Vassilakis, offered brief remarks.

The Center for an Urban Future is an independent, nonpartisan policy organization, using fact-based research to elevate important and often overlooked issues onto the radar of policymakers to help strengthen New York and help all New Yorkers participate in the city’s rising prosperity.
