04 MAY 2018 / The 7th edition of the Panhellenic F1 in Schools competition is now open

From May 4th until May 6th, 2018, the 7th Panhellenic F1 in Schools competition will be held in Athens. The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) proudly supports the participation of student teams from both public and private schools in this year’s student competition, while in the past the SNF has supported the participation of Greek teams in the international F1 in Schools competition, which have achieved significant distinctions.

The competition is addressed to students, aged up to 19 years old, and aims at generating greater interest and fostering enthusiasm among the youth in STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), through hands on activities.

Aiming to foster greater participation of students from public schools, the SNF most recently, provided support for the “All 4 Greek Wheels” student team’s participation in the Land Rover 4x4 in Schools STEM competition. The team represented the Middle School of Fylis, in Athens, which was the only Middle School, as well as the only Greek public school to participate in the contest, and managed to rank 8th in the overall rankings.
