On May 19, 2018, representatives from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) participated in the 2018 Popular Brooklyn Half marathon in New York City.

The Popular Brooklyn Half is the largest half-marathon in the country, and entails a 13.1 mile run through the borough of Brookyln. The races starts near the SNF grantee, the Brooklyn Museum, and ends on the Coney Island boardwalk.

The SNF supports NYRR’s Youth Wheelchair Training Program. Additionally, the SNF has previously supported NYRR’s youth running programming, thereby contributing to the development of youth racing programs within adult races.
