Research on Civil Engagement and the Role of Philanthropic Organizations in Greece

The Research and Policy Institute “diaNEOsis”, in collaboration with the Bodossaki Foundation, present the findings of the survey entitled “Civil Society and Philanthropy in Greece” which measures the attitudes of Greek citizens towards civil engagement, as well as the role of philanthropic organizations in Greece.

Based on the research conducted by the University of Macedonia 2 out of 3 citizens (69%) trust philanthropic foundations as institutions in a time that public institutions in Greece are undergoing a crisis.

On Thursday, May 24th, 2018, a public discussion for the presentation of the research findings was held with the participation of representatives of philanthropic organizations, including the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
