Opening of the Temporary Exhibition "New Horizons: From Jewelry to Sculpture" at the Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum

On Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018, the Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum held an event to mark the official opening of its temporary exhibition entitled "New Horizons: From Jewelry to Sculpture", which will run until Thursday, August 23rd, 2018.

The exhibition is made possible through an exclusive grant by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), which supported the establishment and operation of the two-live traditional crafts studio workshops, as well as the implementation of the Jewelry Artist in Residence Program.

Created by the renowned Greek jewelry designer Ilias Lalaounis with the aim to showcase the history and art of jewelry making, the Museum holds a collection of over 4,000 jewels and small ornaments, a rich archive of photos & books on jewelry and its making.
