The 2018 honorees were: Grace Assabil-Bentum, Joel E. Smilow Clubhouse; Omar Carwin, Columbus Clubhouse; Destiny Griffiths, Navy Yard Clubhouse; and Diamond Lewis, Thomas S. Murphy Clubhouse. Each Youth of the Year gave a moving speech to share their story and their plans for the future.

The Madison Square Boys and Girls Club has been a longstanding grantee of the SNF. The SNF has supported MSBGC in terms of programming and general operating, as well as capital support for the construction of the Harlem Clubhouse.
The Madison Square Boys and Girls Club, founded in 1884, is one of the oldest and most important members of the Boys & Girls Club movement. The Club provides targeted programs to young people aged 6 - 18 years, through a wide range of educational and leisure activities, helping members build their academic, social and emotional skills, plan for college and career, and develop leadership capabilities in the Club and community.
