11 MAY 2018 / International History Conference for the 100 Years since the end of the First World War, with the SNF’s support

From Thursday May 10th, until Sunday May 13th, 2018, an international conference is convened at the Teloglion Fine Arts Foundation, in Thessaloniki, in the framework of the 100 years since the end of the First World War.

The three-day conference, entitled “The Macedonian Front 1915-18: Politics, Society and Culture in Time of War”, is made possible with the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, and is co-organized by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the British School at Athens, King’s College London, and the Imperial War Museum and is under the auspices of the British Embassy at Athens.

The conference aims to shed light on the lesser known aspects of the First World War, focusing on its political, economic, social and cultural implications.
