08 MAY 2018 / Hope for Depression Research Foundation’s Symposium “Teens, Social Media, and Mental Health”

On Tuesday, May 8th, 2018, at 5:30pm ET, the Hope for Depression Research Foundation will host its inaugural public symposium, “Teens, Social Media, and Mental Health,” at the Paley Center in New York City.

At the symposium, teen and young adult writers and activists will discuss how smartphones are impacting future generations’ mental health alongside top neuroscientists and clinicians.

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) provided support for this symposium, which will catalyze public conversation and increase mental health literacy.

The SNF has also supported the Hope for Depression Research Foundation’s Depression Task Force, a collaboration of seven world-renowned neuroscientists from different institutions across the US and Canada focused on advancing the understanding of depression through complementary research in genetics, epigenetics, molecular biology, electrophysiology, and brain imaging.
