The world of fashion, the social and environmental footprint of clothing manufacturing at a global level, the interrelation between fashion and art, as well as the way fashion determines and is also determined by historical circumstances and context will be the main topic of discussion at April’s DIALOGUES event which aims to bring to the fore the multiple and often contradictory faces of the fashion world.
Dr. Fiori Zafeiropoulou, Country Coordinator of the global movement Fashion Revolution in Greece and Co-founder of the Social Fashion Factory, SOFFA, the fashion designer, Dimitris Petrou, journalist, Effie Falida, blogger Nancy Spathi, as well as other representatives of the fashion industry will discuss the changing dynamics of fashion and clothing as reflections of social and cultural changes and different societies.
The environmental and social responsibility of the fashion industry will be at the center of the debate, which, through the presentation of the Fashion Revolution movement, aims to highlight the issue of sustainability in fashion and, particularly, the significance of transparency in the manufacturing process.
DIALOGUES are open to the public. Participation is secured via electronic pre-registration, on a first-come-first-served basis. To register for the event click here.
The event will be live streamed via the SNF website at www.SNF.org/live and will be available on demand in both video and podcast format on the SNF website.
The DIALOGUES are curated and moderated by Anna-Kynthia Bousdoukou.
